WHO IS MAMA GODDESS?

Shanita Marie is my name. However, in my community, I am affectionately known as Mama Goddess. I am extremely family-oriented, which contributes to my nurturing nature.

I am a powerful, spirit-led being who has humbly accepted the calling of healing and service for my life. I feel I embody the very essence of a goddess, and I try to carry myself as such. I am loving, loyal, caring, helpful, protective, genuine, and creative. With these attributes, and a plethora of others, Mama Goddess is someone you can trust and depend on.

Why did you start a business?

Before there was Mama Goddess, there was just Shanita Marie. A woman who worked a dead-end job for 7 years as a paraprofessional at an elementary school that housed a group of behavioral health students. It wasn't until the spring of 2020, during the pandemic, that she began her entrepreneurship journey. Shanita Marie started as a small YouTuber. But she was still unfulfilled. Fast forward to the spring of 2021, she got into wrapping crystals.

Afterwards, she became obsessed with wrapping jewelry. She began watching video tutorial after video tutorial until she taught herself how to wrap. Eventually, she gained the confidence to start her own business wrapping jewelry. In the summer of 2021, she launched her business and made her first $1,300.00 in the same month she started.

Mama Goddess loved what she did so much that she quit her dead-end job and became a full-time entrepreneur! For her, it was more than just making crystal jewelry; she wanted to make pieces that connected the wearer's spirit. And in doing so, this is where Mama Goddess is most fulfilled!

While on her entrepreneurship journey, Mama Goddess was introduced to tarot reading by her mentor, Cynthia (Reiki Master and Soul Journey facilitator). Cynthia helped Mama Goddess awaken the gift of "sight" so she can be the humble and confident tarot reader she is today. Cynthia also certified Mama Goddess as a level 1 Reiki Healer. The goal is for Mama Goddess to become a Reiki Master as well. And she did!

Our mission is simple. It is to help you heal! At Mama Goddess’ Space, we create a safe and empowering space where people can heal, grow, learn, and reconnect with themselves on a deeper level.

We believe that healing is a journey—not a destination—and that everyone can discover their own inner wisdom, strength, and intuition.
Through spiritual guidance, Tarot, mentorship, ritual work, education, and intentional spiritual tools, we strive to help you gain clarity, deepen your self-awareness, and move through life with greater confidence and purpose.
